Craig Bridger is a writer, actor, and a life long Elvis Presley fan. He is 5’11”, but will claim to be 6’ if you ask him. He hates sharks and roller coasters and has a bad habit of leaving cereal boxes open. Also, people say he has nice teeth. Once, when he was a kid, Craig knocked his dad out with a rock (accidentally, but still).
Craig is from San Diego, California, which is a nice place to be from, since it gives New Yorkers a chance to ask him the following question: “What the hell are you doing here?” He has two degrees – one from the University of California, in English, and one from Southern Methodist University, in Acting. And neither of them have been as helpful as his graduation certificate from bartending school. Still, they look nice in frames.
Craig has written for The New York Times, GQ, Men’s Health, Men’s Health Living, The New York Observer, Neiman Marcus’ The Book, Urban Daddy, Men.Style.com, AskMen.com, and NYCgo.com. Also The North County Times, where his story “Santa Claus: Who’s He?” took second place in a holiday writing competition when he was in the eighth grade. He would still like to find the kid who took first, congratulate him, and then drop a flying chicken wing on the sucker when he’s not looking.
Craig lives in Brooklyn with his wife, Tara, and their cats, Marlowe and Scout. His first book, Surviving Groomzilla: A Bride’s Guide, was published in January '09.
